In line with the research of the CBI formulated through its motto

"From disease to therapy with Bioinformatics", we are focussing on topics and problems from Biomedicine and Pharmacy. We are developing algorithms and software (BN++, GeneTrail) for target identification and for studying the molecular basis of diseases. Moreover, we are working on novel approaches for cancer diagnosis based on seroreactivity and microRNA profiles and we are studying the role of the immune system in cancer.
